| Can
you tell me the market value of my older boat?
|
Many factors come into play when attempting to resell
a boat, factors such as the condition of the boat,
how it has been maintained, its location of use and
popularity all play a roll in determining the perceived
value of your boat. Armed with this knowledge it would
seem that traditional methods still continue to be
the most accurate way of determining the value of
your boat. An excellent indicator of the value of
your boat is the classified ads in your local newspaper
or one of the many trade magazines. You might also
consider searching for online magazines that have
classified ads or swap sections where you may post
an ad. If your boat was built after 1965, you can
find information pertaining to its value at N.A.D.A.

| What
is the Hull ID number and where can I find it? |
Each Beachcomber Boats boat has a serial and a hull
ID number. The serial number is located on the upper
right side of the transom. Beachcomber Boats serial
numbers begin with the letters "SMK", the
last two numerals being the year of manufacture. The
hull ID number is located on the upper left side of
the transom. This number identifies the production
run and is needed to clearly identify the boat. In
the case of pontoon boats you will find the serial
number located on the accessory bracket at the back
of the starboard tube.

| How
do I determine the best Horse Power for my boat? |
The best horse power for your boat is the one that
best serves the type of activity that you enjoy in
your boat that does not exceed the maximum horse power
rating for your model.
- If your pleasure is simply sitting quietly by
yourself, panfishing on the small inland lakes,
you may wish to supply only enough horse power to
get the boat on plane.
- If you frequently carry several passengers and
a full load of gear, you will find it necessary
to increase the horse power to compensate for the
added load.
- If you will be out on larger lakes or the Great
Lakes where the wind and weather become more of
a factor, you will find it to your benefit to have
a reserve of horse power at your disposal.
- If your primary desire is to tow skiers or wake
boarders or you simply have a need for speed, by
all means add that horse power.
Never exceed the maximum Horse Power Rating listed
for your model of boat.
